Hermes vzw develops digital support for GP practices, nursing homes, and primary care. We build maintainable solutions without unnecessary complexity or commercial pressure.
As an independent non-profit, we work exclusively in service of healthcare organisations in Belgium. Our focus is on reliable eHealth integrations, GDPR-compliant data management, and clear workflows that fit naturally into the daily routines of healthcare professionals.

Projects
Thirteen projects running today. Most are open to anyone. A few sit behind a login because they handle patient or practice data.
Tools that GP practices and nursing homes use every day. This is where the ehBox integration lives, and where the bar for privacy sits highest.
Messaging between nursing-home staff and the resident's GP, over ehBox instead of phone calls and loose notes. Sign-in is OIDC and every action lands in the audit log. End-to-end encryption is there for those who want it.
Personal nutrition advice from doctors and dietitians, drafted with help from AI. Patients keep a food diary while caregivers get their own module linked to eHealth. Medical data is stored encrypted.
Put together a PubMed search strategy from MeSH terms and send it over in one click. Useful when you need a correct query fast and don't know the syntax by heart.
Website for a GP practice on Antwerp's Left Bank. Patients find out how to book, who's on call and who's on the team. It's a static build, so it loads fast even on an old phone.
The practice's internal workbench: Medisch Huis enrolment, billing, telephony and portals for the nursing homes. The sandwich order lives there too. Runs on its own server, team only.
The beID Helper is the platform; pdfsign and EnigmaLab plug into it. Logwatch belongs here because it measures traffic without following anyone.
A small helper on your own computer that lets websites work safely with your Belgian eID. Whatever the card hands over travels encrypted. Behind it sits a hosted platform that other services join with a plain redirect; pdfsign and EnigmaLab already do.
Sign a PDF with your eID and put the visible stamp wherever you like. No account needed. You get a time-stamped PAdES signature back, and your document is deleted right away.
Our own web analytics, built to replace Google Analytics across all of these sites. It counts visitors from the server logs and puts Search Console and Bing data next to them. No script runs in the browser and there's no cookie, so no consent banner either. IP addresses stay on our own machine; only counts go online.
A wiki that explains encryption from scratch, written for a fifteen-year-old reader. 23 chapters, each with a demo that does real maths in your browser. In the last one you read your own eID through the beID Helper. EnigmaLab is the successor to ICT Health.
Multilingual sites for a general audience. Not professional software, but built with the same care: fast pages and translations someone actually read.
